This is a minimally invasive surgical procedure in which a heart valve is replaced.
The uniqueness of the operation lies in the fact that the valve is installed in the working heart. A special catheter is inserted through the femoral artery, which delivers and implants a replaceable aortic valve. Additional complexity is created by the severity of the patient himself in connection with the main and concomitant diseases.
Advantages:
- the operation is minimally invasive;
- suitable even for patients aged 70-80 years.
patients are discharged after TAVI on the third to fifth day, and after 10-14 days they are allowed to return to normal life.
